Every time I take a new course in this program, my spiritual life is refreshed. My desire to study God's Word is greatly promoted. My prayer life is deepened. I always thank God for sending me to this program. (Myanmar Grad '05)

What drives me to study is the hunger for learning. I know that someday God would bring me back to the class room to train future pastors and Christian workers. (Philippine Grad)

I recommend this program to my friends and colleagues because the program is very helpful to our ministries. We do not get a degree only but also receive spiritual lessons. (Myanmar, '05 Grad)

Miller Library Welcomes our Students in Asia

We are pleased to offer our students at Asia Baptist Theological Seminary many excellent resources. If you don't find your needed resources here, please let us help you with further suggestions. Email us at Reference@Cornerstone.edu or use the convenient link on the Library home page: “Ask a Librarian.”

First, a few words of introduction and explanation regarding these resources as they pertain to students in Asia—

1. Finding Books in our online catalog is easy. However, we are unable to mail these outside the U.S. We suggest finding the titles here that interest you and then using this information to borrow them through a local library (see "How to Borrow..." guide).

2. VERY IMPORTANT! In order to access your library's electronic resources online (ebooks and online articles, #3, 4 below) you need to have a Cornerstone/ABTS Identification number (ID). To receive this, either send us an email or ask the ABTS office to contact us with the necessary information. (ABTS Instructors: You may want to enroll your whole class for this purpose--ask the ABTS office to send us your student list.)

3. Some books are available as “ebooks,” i.e. they are available for you to download free to your computer for temporary study (up to 6 hours at a time). You can limit your search to ebooks, or find them through regular searching. Then click on the link to “Full-text web access.”

4. Finding articles. See the Subject Guides on “Bible” or “Theology/Religion” for recommended databases and other resources. You will especially find Religious & Theological Abstracts, and ATLA-Religion to be useful databases. See the “Library Instruction” link below for help in searching these databases.

—Remember, we’re just a click away from helping you find what you need: click on Ask-a-Librarian for timely, personalized research assistance!
