ABTS has the program that will enable you to understand what real ministry is. (Philippines, '05 Grad)

You will get more than just a degree -- a transformation in your spiritual life and ministry! (Thailand, '05 Grad)

My primary purpose for entering the program was to get a degree, but as I started taking the courses, discussing and interacting with other students and our professors, I found myself a person of little learning. (Philippines, '05 Grad)

DONORS

ABTS is a mission program, relying on

  • faithful gifts from churches, foundations and individuals,
  • God's people to field it,
  • supporting missionaries to administer it, and
  • professors to teach and mentor leaders who are committed to serving God in Asian countries.

ABTS is expanding in Asia.  We have an increasing need for donors to become involved in providing our financial needs.

We invite you to prayerfully consider partnering with us to help Christian leaders in Asia shape their theology and enhance their ministry competencies.

ABWE Missionaries Raising Support

ABTS has a number of special giving opportunities available for churches, SS classes, friends and groups who would like to help students.

The Jonathan Capaque Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Capaque Scholarship, sponsored by ABWE missionaries serving in the Philipppines, is awarded to qualified students enrolled in an ABTS degree program.  Students must meet minimum requirements and be members of churches belonging to the Association of Fundamental Baptist Chuches in the Philippines.

ABTS Scholarship Fund - Thailand

A Christian businessman in Thailand, Mr. Joo H. Ahn, recognizing "the life-changing effect" that study with ABTS has on Christian leaders, established the Thailand ABTS Scholarship Fund.  Contributions to this fund help qualified Thai leaders and Filipino missionaries ministering in Thailand.

Yangon, Myanmar Seminars

Two ABTS seminars are held in Myanmar each January and June.  Students pay one dollar per course.  We depend on the gifts of interested churches and friends to subsidize the expenses of sending professors to Yangon.  The cost of sending one professor from Singapore (flights, room, board) is US$850.

We need US$3,400 for each year to hold seminars.

Contact Dr. Robert Rapa, Dean,  for information at abts@abtscu.org  or gifts can be sent to ABWE, PO Box 8585, Harrisburg PA 17105-8585, USA.  Be sure to include the acct number 0770-077546.

Funds for the ministry in Myanmar are urgently needed.  We have cut back from 4 classes per year to 2 because of lack of funds.  There is no lack of Christian leaders who want to study.  Perhaps this ministry is one of which God wants you to be a part.

Textbooks for Myanmar

Textbooks used in courses become a valuable resource in ministry for students who have very few books in their libraires.  Because of unreliable mail service, ABTS receives permission from the publishers to have books copied in Myanmar.  Students pay the copy charges, but the publisher license fee for each book is paid by ABTS.

Textbooks for each year will cost US$1,000.

Contact Dr. Robert Rapa, Dean, for information at abts@abtscu.org or gifts can be sent to ABWE at the address above. Be sure to include the account  number 0770-077546 and indicate that the gift is to be used for Myanmar textbooks.

 Lunch Boxes

As a service to our Myanmar students during the ten days of the seminars, a catered lunch box is provided for 25 students.  The cost of doing this is US$200 in both January and in June.

Are you interested in contributing to this need?

Contact Dr. Robert Rapa, Dean, for information at abts@abtscu.org or gifts can be sent directly to the Myanmar account at ABWE (see address and account number above and please indicate Myanmar lunches).

General Fund

ABTS is described as a "school in a suitcase."  The seminary has a small administrative office in Singapore where we service the more than 250 students living throughour SE Asia.

Professors travel to ten established sites and one pending site for classes, twice a year at each site.

We depend on gifts and support from God's people and churches to operate ABTS.

In 2010 ABTS professors resident in Asia and adjunct will teach 9 seminars.  Listing of upcoming classes.

Estimated airfare per year: US$7,000.

Contact Dr. Robert Rapa, Dean, for information at abts@abtscu.org  or send gifts to the ABTS account at ABWE, PO Box 8585, Harrisburg, PA, USA, account number 0770-077540.

In 2008, the determination was made to relocate ABTS headquarters from Singapore to Chiang Mai, Thailand. This move will allow ABTS to attain financial viability. As a non tuition-driven educational ministry, we find it necessary to economize in every area possible.

Our new headquarters in Chiang Mai are finally fully operational. Our new adderss is:

THAILAND

There is no end to the opportunity available in Southeast Asia and the surrounding area.  It is often that requests come, to bring ABTS to a new site.

Most recently those requests have come from India, Nepal, and Japan.  We don't know what God may have in mind for ABTS for those countries and others.
Will you pray with us, that God will
  • give wisdom from above as decisions are made,
  • raise up financially gifted individuals, churches and foundations to meet the need,
  • raise up needed professors and personnel to carry out the work of ABTS, and
  • enable new sites to be opened per His desire.
