The ABTS program has been a perfect fit for our ministry in Korea. By taking only 1-2 courses per year, it enables us to keep fresh and growing while doing ministry. ('05 Grad)

[ABTS professors are] the life models through which our Lord continues to move, convict and shape my life. (Hong Kong Grad)

God at work in Australia

In May 2006 the first two ABTS classes were held in Sydney, Australia.  This was the beginning of ABTS's attempt to determine if Sydney should be established as a teaching site.

Research continues but the reports from
the 2006 and 2007 classes indicate that ABTS's presence would add immeasurably to the strengthening of the church in Australia.  Pray for wisdom as decisions are made.

So as we have read the ABTS history, we see that God has been at work.  From the first desire of men like Dr. Kenoyer and Dr. Versluis for theological education for those in the churches in India they had helped to establish, to the men who agreed with their assessment that there was a need, Dr. Warren Faber and Dr. Beals, to the missionary family that God raised up, the Lillis family, to the last 20 plus years of ABTS history, we have evidence that God is at work.

Drs. Kenoyer and Versluis recognized that the Great Brain Drain would deplete the churches in India of the leadership it desperately needed.  With his first trip to Asia (along with Dr. Versluis' son,  Rev. Paul Versluis, III) Dr. Lillis verified that the need all over Asia was the same.  Graduate theological education was needed to strengthen the churches.

Praise the Lord for the many who served, gave prayer and financial support and were an encouragement.  Many churches and individuals are also a part of the history of ABTS.  God knows who you are and what you have given.  Pray with us that the ministry of ABTS will continue to be used to strengthen the church.

Pray for God's direction, and provision in not only the life of ABTS, but also in the lives of those who wish to study.
