Nelson Estrada

Associate Professor of New Testament

Dr. Estrada, is an Associate Professor of New Testament and Biblical Hermeneutics at ABTS. He recently relocated from the USA to Bangkok. “Kuya Nelson” (as he prefers to be called) hails from the Philippines. In 2002, he earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Studies from the University of Sheffield in England, UK, with the support of a Langham Scholarship, founded by Rev. Dr. John Stott. He holds a Master of Theology, a Master of Arts, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. His book, “From Followers to Leaders: The Apostles in the Ritual of Status Transformation in Acts 1-2,” is published by Bloomsbury Publishing. He frequently presents papers at biblical and theological conferences and is a sought-after instructor for Christian group seminars in Western Europe, the US, and Asia. He also has 20 years of pastoral experience in the US and Canada.
